Moving home is up there with one of the most stressful things you can do. Midlothian Movers is here to make this experience a little easier, from the time you receive your quotation, to your last household item being placed in the room of your choice at your new property. We will do everything possible on our end to make this transaction as straight forward and go as smooth as it can.
To help along the way however we ask you to be as honest and organised as possible under the circumstances. Below is some things you can do on your end to help make this transaction and experience a nice smooth one.
- – Arrange moving day and our arrival time as far in advance as possible. If this changes at all please call with an update to enable us to make the proper adjustments.
- – Be clear in your mind what is going and what has to be left.
- – Order moving boxes etc in plenty of time giving you efficient and realistic time to pack all your belongings before we arrive. Keep a couple of extra boxes aside for moving day for things like bed sheets and small items that may be missed.
- – Mark each box with its contents or the destination room in your new property. Mark fragile on all the boxes with breakables.
- – Unless you have arranged your moving company to do so – dismantle beds and anything that was assembled in the bedrooms and therefore may not be able to go back out the home fully assembled.
- – If possible – try arrange pets (if any) to be taking care of for the day by family or friends.
